April 20, 2007 - Detroit - The Michigan Chapter
of the American Institute of Architects chose the Birmingham firm, Victor
Saroki and Associates Architects to be its Architecture Firm of the Year.
The award will be made by AIA President Dennis M. King, FAIA at the Annual
Celebration of Excellence in Architecture in Plymouth at the Inn at St. John
on April 20. The firm is being recognized for consistently produced
distinguished architecture for at least 10 years. The firm shall have great
depth, breadth, be widely known for quality and its work shall be a product
of a collaborative environment. This year marks the 150th Anniversary of The
American Institute of Architects and the 120th anniversary of the Michigan
Chapter. The Inn will play host to over 200 architects for this celebration

Victor Saroki and Associates Architects PC was
founded by Victor and his wife, Michelle, in 1982 and continuing today under
their leadership. The firm has benefitted from a talented staff of
architects collaborating in an intense but comfortable open studio
environment. The staff is encouraged to engage in community service and to
participate in AIA activities.
The firm is dedicated to the belief that
excellent architecture can be achieved at every level, from interior details
to urban spaces.
The firm continues to use its ability to
promote design excellence in their work, elevating the quality of life in
the Birmingham, Royal Oak, and Rochester down towns. Living and working in
Birmingham has given them the opportunity to design more than sixty
buildings there. The firm sets high standards with their performance. Their
designs have been recognized by over 50 design awards, over 50 articles on
their design work, including articles in many national publications.
The American Institute of Architects
Michigan, headquartered in the historic Beaubien House across from the
Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit, established its awards program to
bring to public attention the value and importance of architectural
excellence and to recognize those whose notable achievements encourage all
to make excellence in architecture the standard.
