AIA Michigan works to enhance the Michigan architect's position as the leader of the building team and designer of the built environment. To achieve this mission AIA Michigan produces, promotes or sponsor's many programs and events though out the year.

This mission is achieved through programs that focus on:

• Public Advocacy - developing, supporting, or promoting programs that enhance the natural and built environment and strives to improve the effectiveness of the profession.  

• Education - of the public to the value of the profession; education of members to a higher standard of practice; and education of students to the changing needs of the profession.

• Fellowship - through activities that promote interaction between the members and allied professionals.
