The Bylaws Committee is happy to report that the voting process for the Revised Bylaws has succeeded in accumulating 2/3 of the 2006 assigned members approval as required under the 1983 Bylaws, Section 1.1 and 1.2. According to the membership records, AIA Southwest Michigan has a total of 120 assigned members and we have received 80 votes. The AIA Southwest Michigan Board validated these votes at the December 6 Board Meeting. The Revised Bylaws became effective immediately upon the approval.
The approved Bylaws will be sent to both AIA Michigan and the AIA headquarters for their records. The committee would like to thank all members that voted.
Access to the bylaws will be through this web site. A hard copy will be included with the Chapter Roster to be published in the spring of 2007

Guides are available from the Kalamazoo and Portage Public Libraries, the Kalamazoo Chamber of Commerce, the office of Diekema | Hamann in Kalamazoo or the office of TMP Associates in Portage.
