Michigan Code Updates and Amendments

2006 IBC Significant Changes
Familiarizes building officials, fire officials, plans examiner, inspectors and design professionals with many of the important changes in the 2006 IBC. Assists code users in identifying the specific code changes that have occurred, and more importantly, understanding the reason behind the change. Focuses on those code changes selected due to their frequency of application, special significance or change in application. Discusses over 120 changes, with a major emphasis on those provisions addressing fire and life safety.

2006 IRC Significant Changes
Reviews and analyses selected significant changes from the 2003 IRC to the 2006 IRC. Familiarizes building officials, fire officials, plans examiners, inspectors and design professionals with many of the important changes in the 2006 IRC. Assists code users in identifying the specific code changes that have occurred, and more importantly, understanding the reason behind the change.
